Another Haircut Post
Awhile back I posted about getting my haircut and not being entirely happy with it. Basically it worked but it wasn't perfect, but I was happy b/c I felt more like me than way before when I had gotten it perfectly styled such that I really needed to keep it up and also wear it down more than up, which just isn't me.This cut is very basic, but it works for me. Just long enough for me to comfortably pull it back, and light enough layers so that I don't feel like I'm 10, and also so that when I pull it half back they fishtail out ^_^
As seen in the photo was the stylist blow drying it out, she didn't use a brush but it's still fairly straight. Tomorrow I'll use my flat iron and see how it looks that way, but eventually I should see how blowing it out myself gets it.
I didn't make another appointment with them, just b/c I want to see how it wears a bit more before I decide, and b/c I don't know what my schedual will be when I start working again.

It's Done!
This is my finished bag! It's not only all knitted but it's also been felted (or fulled) which makes the individual strands of wool blend together to form a thicker stronger fabric and also makes the final product a lot smaller than it started. My next project is going to be a lightweight short-sleeved sweater, but I haven't gotten the yarn for it yet so the color is a bit TBD. I am however leaning towards a orange-yellow or possibly green. In the mean time I'm practicing using double-pointed needles so that I can knit things in the round in smaller circumfrences than circular needles allow. I'm kinda surprising myself with how much I'm enjoying knitting, I was never opposed to the idea, I just never thought that I would like it as much as I do. :)

More Knitting!
Today I have started my first "real" project! It's going to be a felted bag, which means that after I make the bag it gets "washed" to have the fibers mesh together thus forming a smaller & thicker bag that ends up removing the stitched look of it. I'm doing this partially so that I can actually use the bag to carry things without having to line it, and partially b/c I'm hoping that it will hide any mistakes.
The yarn I'm using is here it's color 003 "wildflowers" and my monitor shows their swatch as being lighter than the yarn actually is. I've ended up combining two patterns to make this, but it will end up being a handbag that's a bit on the big side with bamboo handles (I think, I don't have them yet.)
I'm attempting to knit this on circular needles (in the round) and then will sew in a separately knitted bottom. I'm doing it this way for the challenge and also b/c my mom already had a pair of circular needles that were an optimum size, and I'm all about not having to buy a new set of needles.
Will post pictures when I have more than two rows done!
